Bug Princess 2 app good for
5 stars for the game minus 1 for the crappy OpenFeint integration.
I am tired to see the first screen disfigured by OpenFeint ads and other craps.
Im still amazed at how good can be cave ports when theyre released on iPhone plateformes!
Now please release other danmaku like the praised Ketsui or Akai Katana;)
One of the most difficult yet greatest maniac shooter of all time. Its great! Thanks Cave.
As with the original Bug Princess IOS game, this is pure joy to play. The more complex bullet patterns and maniac modes balance out against the increased ease of moving across the screen. Basically put, I am only good enough on the XBOX version to pull off a 1cc (almost!) on original mode, but struggle against maniac mode, whereas in this IOS port I get roughly the same degree of challenge playing in maniac mode - which is great because who ever enjoys playing with less and less bullets on the screen? The more the better!
As with the original BP iOS port, I was really hoping for an HD treatment, or atleast filtered/smoothed to be on par with the beautiful graphics on the XBOX. The art is fantastic and I fear many gamers wont see it as much when put up against HD counterparts. I know Cave has the tech to pull off smooth graphic when transitioning across platforms so its a bit of a mystery why the same game looks better blown up on my 40" 1080p TV than on a tiny display like an iPad. Nonetheless top scores yet again!
This iOS port of Mushihimesana Futari is absolutely perfect ! The controls might seem a bit of a struggle on a touch screen but they are actually very intuitive and even makes the game easier. Which is quite a good thing : you can play harder modes which have even more bullets and delightful bullet patterns. But even with the decreased difficulty, the hardest mode is still almost impossible, and if you are not satisfied you can just purchase the Black Label version. Overall, this game is an almost perfect port of the best Cave game for me.
One of the most difficult and challenging maniac shooters of all time yet still fun to play and addicting. Thanks Cave for putting this on iOS
Some bad moments
Thank you Cave! Its great to be able to play this on my iPad.
I have this game on my Xbox 360 I imported it from Japan as it is a region free game. On the Xbox its called Mushihime-sama Futari. If you can find it I highly recommend getting it and Caves other region free games for the Xbox 360.
Cave is one of the few development teams that I buy everything they produce. Their level of quality for iOS shooters is so high, its truly the gold standard for the genre on the platform.
Bug Princess 2 retains this incredibly high standard, but offers a bit more chaotic gameplay when compared to their other releases. This is more than welcome, and continues to prove that not all shooters are the same.
For example, I play Blissful Death for a top score, but Bug Princess late stages are more off the wall and intense. Giving the game a more chaotic feel. Also Bugs bullet patterns are some of my favorite from the entire genre.
Cave produces so many great games, I never question if I should pick up the next one. I not only recommend this game, but anything they have made. Only top notch stuff.
Cave always makes good shmups. For you weirdos, dont expect games to be life changing or to bring you happiness in life. Its just a game thats really fun to play, so dont expect more than that.
This game is like a footlong chili cheese dog. Its super delicious and after you finish it you want another, but it leaves you feeling like a fat slob. I would have enjoyed this more if I had a milkshake, especially since it was 5 bucks. Still, I really enjoyed it and hope for more delicious food from Cave.
Bug Princess 2 (aka: Mushihimesama Futari) features the hardest video game boss ever in history. To this day, nobody has beaten Queen Larsa on ultra mode without dying.
If your a true hardcore gamer, then please give CAVE a bit of your time. Their games transition smoothly from arcade to iOS devices. Show them your support so they can keep porting their awesome games to the app store!
Another great game from Cave
If your a fan of bullet hell games then this is a must buy (along with all there games)
